If I could lemon it, should I pick up a 2011 or 2012?

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Is there an unresolved issue that it's been in the shop for numerous times or for over a month?

it's funny - I think ARD would respond to such a post with ?????? MORE INFORMATION ?????? ... just in a more disrespectful, verbose way.

Yes. Or are you asking which of 2011 or 2012? In which case... ????? MORE INFORMATION ?????

Yup. Well over a month total, this one issue 3 weeks and counting.

I'm not going to get into details but it is emissions/software related. Weasel would know....PUMA has their hands full with trying to understand the operating limits of the SCR cat system. IMO.

I've not posted about it simply because I don't need any assistance with this. Elsewhere in a diesel owners forum I brought up the issue to see if others had it... no one had ever reported my specific code. While we have been working with PUMA on this issue I did not feel the need to create drama with posts here about it.

So, to be clear: I don't need tips on how to fix the issue. I am asking for opinions on the merits of a lemon to step up to either a 2011 or perhaps a 2012....

So, anyone want to answer the question?

PS Weasel- PM box is full...

Why wouldn't you want to lemon if you could? Aside from dumping your problem vehicle, from a purely financial standpoint you push your depreciation back by getting a newer car. I'd go for the 2012 over the 2011 on that basis.

That's my thinking, although it is not without cost. I'll pay a % of the cost based on the mileage... but even at 25% (30k/120k) it is probably worth it to buy two years of warranty and two years of 'new car' depreciation... plus I can order that GD spare tire!
