Oil change on e70

Hello,

I have a '07 X5 4.8i. Took a quick look underneath and could not locate where the oil drain plug was. Is it hidden behind metal stiffening plate?
I assumed it would be exposed since the oil filter housing is exposed from a circular cutout in the same metal plate, but perhaps not. If anyone has a diy for the 4.8i that would be appreciated. I could not find one searching the forums.

Also is Mobil 1 0w40 acceptable for my model? From the forums, sounds like others use it. That, and Castrol synthetic 5w30...

Thanks!
