This incentive isn't available for use with the nav credit too is it? I ordered mine in October while the nav credit was in place and expect to take delivery in the next week when it arrives at the dealer. Would be pretty sweet to get an extra $1k off lol.

Nav credit of $1730 is still there. Checked with the dealer.
For instance, if you are buying a 35d you will get $1730(nav credit) + $1000(mission credit) +$2500 (Eco credit) + $$xx(Dealer discount)

so on a 66k car with an invoice of somewhere around 62k, i should be getting off the price in the 6k range, which would put the car at around 56k not including fees.

dose this sound right?

Yes. The credits are not coming from Dealer margin, which is 7%+ of MSRP. So, the credits above of $5230 do not include dealer margin off of MSRP. So dealer still has room. Someone here got $8700 off MSRP. See his thread.

Do these small credits actually drive any sales? Maybe the multiple incentives on the X5d or perhaps on a low MSRP truck, but if I was deciding whether to plunk down $80k plus for a well equipped X5 50i, $1k probably wouldn't factor much into my decision. These credits must merely be there to help rationalize a big dollar purchase. Window dressing, but whatever works I guess.

I feel the same way--$1K is a small amount in comparison to price. If it was a $30K Honda Accord then it would be a substantial discount.

It helps in sales of 35i and 35d as they have nav credit of $1730 as well. There are more buyers for 35i anyway. These credits plus the dealer margin is then the room for negotiation.
