It's been a few months now my alarm works ok except when I arm and disarm the alarm there's no chirp. I played with the idrive setting with no luck. I think it's the alarm horn. Have anyone experience this kind of problem?? Anyone know where the alarm horn located at??
Thanks, Sam

I had a similar problem. There were 3 points of interest..
1) Battery. You car is a 2009. Battery is therefore 5 years old. Have you replaced yet?
2) Hood switch. PS of vehicle. Look for a button near the washer tank. Easy disconnect to determine if that makes a difference.
3) Roof sensor. This was the culprit on mine after I replaced 1 and 2 above.

Hope that helps

1) Battery never change, no sign of weak startup
3) Where is the Roof sensor

Thanks, Sam

1) Alarm going off IS a sign of a weak battery. Had nothing to do with startup. The system senses lower amps and begins to turn off (or reduce) power to non-essential services (like the alarm, radio, etc)
2) Center upper console (where the switches for the pano roof would be). Do a search for "Ultrasonic Passenger Compartment Motion Detector" As someone else pointed out, there was a recall for them being defective.
