Joined this forum after reading this thread. Did any of you have to change the wiring on your preLCI headlight retrofit? I upgraded my front headlights but did not do any wiring changes on my 3.0i. After coding VO/FA to 04/2012 and removing all hot and cold checks, I'm getting low beam, high beam, Adaptive, and DRL errors. DRLs cutoff after about a minute and no high beams or adaptive. Did you guys replace S522 and 524 with 552 as well? I heard that only applies to X5M and X6s. Thx.

it must be have something to do with your coding, the wires are the same as long as you had xenon from factory.

Hmmmm. The preLCIs were halogen. Yours was a 2011, i.e. already wired for xenon correct?

...and it worked without changing any wiring? Wow. Any insight on the coding? Did you switch to S552 in your VO/FA?

Ok, thanks. Still puzzled whats not right with mine. Indie mechanic wanted to charge me 6 hours to check/change the wiring based on instructions for X5M/X6 retrofit kit. Thanks to you I'm feeling better about going a different route.

What's the description of that S552 VO code? Everywhere I search that specific code is missing.
