sunroof drain

Searched and most threads were for the E53. I am trying to make sure my sunroof drains for the fronts are clear but I cannot find where it exits. I was told it is under (inside) the hood near where the A-pillar ends, under the grates that are removable. Is this true or is it under the car like an X3?

For the E53, it seems people just had a kinked hose inside the A-pillar itself so they never discussed where it ends up coming out - I just want to blow it through before any leaks actually happen.

I had a similar issue, water leak in the dome light through high pressure washes. The drains are located at the front left + right, and rear left + right up top. I found another thread with pics. All I did was use some compressed air and spray it down each drain path and it did the trick, no more leaks!

EDIT: Sry just realized you're looking for the exits...Not sure on that, but I imagine if you pour a small amount of water through the top drain and look for where it leaks out that should be the bottom drain
