Too bad I have the 4.8. Wouldn't see much gain from this N/A engine.

Reviving this as I've been looking into doing meth again. A guy over on the F10 M5 boards just got like 820hp from his car, I asked which kit he's using and he sent me this link - Aquamist HFS-4 Injection System | Howerton Engineering

Well what's the verdict? Did you get the system? I'm really curious to see how functional these units are in day to day driving. Wondering how long the meth lasts.

Aquamist is the pinnacle of the W/M injection systems and the HFS-3/4 are the newest design systems with comprehensive fail safes built-in. AM can run mixtures from 100% water to 100% methanol without any ill effects on the components. Of course nothing will save you from Murphy's law, but this is as good as it gets.
I have a slightly used HFS-3 with trunk mounted tank/pump from Howerton Engineering for sale. It has been on my race car for some time and it did it's job exactly as intended, saving my engine on a few occasions. I now run E85 so it is a good time to get rid of ~10lbs.

Kirk - What nozzle sizes would you recommend for the M57?

Having ZERO experience with meth or kits needed, I'm at a loss. The E70 X5M can't use a JB4 or BCM to up the boost beyond what my flashed stage 2 tune can do. Until my tuner decides he wants to tune for meth, I'm mostly getting it for its ability to clean direct injection engines and that the ECU has enough play to see that the IAT's are better, denser charger (I don't know if I'll run only water or at most as 50/50 mix) and basically free octane. With all this said, M5 guys have recommended anything from the HFS-4 (linked above) to a Snow Performance Stage 2 kit with a fancy controller and gauge - Snow Performance Stage 2 New Boost Cooler - SOHi Performance - Your best source for genuine automotive parts!

My problem is that while I'm sure these are great kits, I've got ZERO ECU control with any of these kits that in other vehicles would back off boost, timing, etc once the controller saw a drop of meth pressure via running out, clogged line, etc. With that, what's stopping me from simple getting a $280 Cooling Mist kit Coolingmist Stage 1 (solenoid, s/a injector) with nothing more than a pump, nozzle and using my washer fluis bottle for storage (mind you never going over a 50/50 mix, I was mostly -30 thinking washer and a bottle of Heet) and then I'd have a factory supplied sensor to tell me when the fluid is low.
