303 protectant?

Anyone use the 303 aerospace protectant on the black plastics on the E70? Areas like the non-painted bumpers (pre-LCI) and fenders? Does it restore and keep it black?

Pages of Threads that contain mostly kudos for 303...
There are various species of 303, though I haven't studied the MSDSs to see if they really vary, vs a simple pkging rebranding.

Many like it on many parts.

Fwiw, I have used it frequently on scoots and cars, with exc results.

I have used it since the late 90s on every vehicle I have had. Great stuff.

I really hate the faded black non-painted bumper parts on mine. I've tried Mothers Back to Back, and it only last 1-2 weeks, and then runs badly after a heavy rain.

I'm thinking about masking the whole front end, and plasti-dip the black parts.

You guys think that will work?

the 303 stuff works but doesn't last very long at all and any rain and it will streak and run. I don't get why people like it. I recently used some tire wet stuff, don't remember the brand atm. It last for weeks even through many washes. You just have to work more because it's thick and you need to get as much excess off as you can so it doesn't attract dirt.

^ Thats odd, I dont notice it streaking and running. Apply, let it absorb and wipe off excess.

One it starts raining the car is dirty, I guess I dont inspect plastic bits when the rest of the car has road grime on it. Plus, I live in a lower rainfall area.

use it religiously on the boat, but never on the black trim.

303 is strictly a dressing, no cleaning properties.

i recommend cleaning oxidation off trim with a mild APC or similar, before applying.

Also, it may benefit from multiple applications but be sure to always buff excess with a dry MF towel so that it won't streak in the rain.

I find the foaming tire cleaner works well. Easy to apply, no greasy shine. Just more of a deep black natural finish left on the plastic.
