crank case vent/oil seperator

Is there any way to fix the CCV on a 3.0Si without a complete valve cover replacement?

Anytime I'm off of the pedal my car sounds like a tea pot.

So strange enough the noise just went away? I wonder if it just sucked the rubber diaphragm into the crank case though?

My X5 4.8i made a similar sound to a torn CCV. I replaced both diaphragms but the noise was still there but then randomly one day the noise disappeared and the car sounded normal again. After about a week the noise came back. Turns out it was the AC compressor going out.
