Anyone know what the correct settings would be in the BMWhat app to code the DRL's correctly? I lost when coding, and the restore isn't loading. None of the various settings seem to work for the DRL's, and I've unchecked/checked the setting within i-Drive with no luck. The rest of the coding went off without a hitch using the app. 08' E70 3.0si. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Tom

I recently got the Carly app and did some coding and love it.
I went into the parameters and looked at the DPF readings and there was one that showed the remaining life of the DPF. Mine showed 167500~ km left (~105,000 miles).
Does anyone know if this is somewhat accurate? That be great to know i dont have to worry about this for a while.

The app also shows the number of re generations and miles since last one and so on, its pretty cool. You can also force a re generation with the app.

I just sent a whine to [email protected] that DPF regeneration nor its in-app purchase were available for mine.

I noted the long life remaining, the average interval and the current ash loading, and wondered about their accuracy and effect.

Silly question, but what does DPF stand for?

Also, does anyone know how to remove the start-up splash screen (warning) using iCarly?

Thanks in advance

Diesel Particulate Filter.
If you dont have a diesel no need to worry about it.
I was looking for that as well but didnt see it in the list of codes.

I FINALLY pulled the trigger and bought the Full App..

Coded a few things like double hazard, digital spedometer and windows up using key fob.

I can't seem to properly code the folding mirrors using the key fob. Any advice on this? I have. 2007 X5 3.0Si

Thanks!

NVM, I got the folding mirrors to work via FOB.

I can't seem to get the no brakes needed to start engine.

I had the same issue, I think the developer does not have this right.

I think the way Carly works is the developer converts the command to a NCS Macro and if the Macro wording is not correct, then the feature does not get properly coded.

I recently asks for the ability to remove the Nav/CCC disclaimer and to add Heads Up options like M Heads up, turn signals and even reverse lights when unlocking the vehicle. The reverse lights on when unlocking the car makes it much better for dark/night time access from the rear of the car.

I have been using the BMWhat/Carly app since it was first released and find it accurate and super-convenient. My E70 3.0sd has always seemed to take longer than usual to start, but in spite of having been diagnosed with DIS v57, ISTA and Carly, has never resulted in any unusual fault codes. After purchasing the DPF regeneration function, I read the DPF and requested a DPF regen. Following a drive up the highway at 100km/hr for 45 minutes, the car starts and drives like it always should have.
Even though we live in a rural area and the car has predominantly been driven at speeds of 80kph to 110kph (50 -70 mph), looking at the Tacho makes me believe that the car has never satisfied the conditions to cause it to perform a self-regeneration (i.e. rpm at 2000 for 30 minutes minimum).
To achieve this using a stock transmission setup would require the car to be held in lower gear (5th in the case of my 6 speed auto) for at least half an hour. The forced regen cycle however obviously did the trick and I am enjoying the improved starts, lighter throttle and improved fuel consumption.
Anyone interested in Carly can access a 5 euro discount on the purchase of one of their interfaces by entering voucher code ZAG6FX at the time of checkout when purchasing from the Carly for BMW site.
