Thanks, I'm very happy with the way it came out. The box will be available in a one piece fiberglass unit with sub shortly too for anyone wanting one. Only thing I have to spend a little more time on is a low volume engine whine. Spent a few hrs chasing down where it was coming from..wiring, grounds, power, amps, swapped them out..nothing. Well, turns out that if you look at my crossover setup...originally it was on the Drivers side, right above the power wire and battery cable. Was picking up the noise through the crossovers! Very strange. Pick it up in your hand...noise gone, set it back down...noice came back. So yesterday, we pull all the wires and soldered new wires and extended them to place the xovers on the passenger side. The noise is JUST about gone, but I can still hear it slightly. I'm thinking the power cable is still too close to the wires running from the amps to the crossover. Going to try shielding the wires and hopefully eliminate the noise.

That's amazing, it looks great. I wish I had the brains you do to be able to set something up like this in my X.

Wow... beautiful install.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did you have to cut away any sheet metal on the CD changer compartment, or did the amps fit right in? I agree with SilentX - it's nice that you left the cargo floor untouched. Great job! |
