Subwoofer enclosure fabrication

I'd like to replace my subwoofer on my '03 X5 E53 4.4i. Thinking of just going with the basic design provided previously by Essam in the thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...-included.html

Is there anyone in the Orange County, CA area that has experience and appropriate tools to tackle this project and be willing to do it with me (though I'd probably be mostly watching)
