Split screen only works on a colour nav.

Split screen must be correctly set in the nav coding. The user can then switch it on and off as desired.

Can you imagine my sadness when they delivered the MK4 that I bought from Ebay came uo to be a Mono.

Thinking what to do with the useless ( for me ) device I found the x5world and KiwiJochen.

Who solved all my problems about the codeing.

Only one week left for the Interfaca to arrive and for Me to Code It with NAVCODER.

Again Thanks Jochen,

you are the best.

( Purchased the NAVCODER. Waitinğ for the serial )

There is no need to spend money on the Resler interface. I have one of the simple interface, built after the diagram in the NavCoder file on a permanent basis in my car for my CarPC. I have a second one that I'm using for programming in other cars.
Has been working without any issue.....

Replace all files:

you must include subdirectories.

Replace:
cdb 0200 BMWM01S
with:
cdb 0200 BMWC01S

Replace:
Mk3 0103 BMWM01S
with:
Mk3 0103 BMWC01S
Do the same thing with directories 0116 y 0127.
You must include subdirectories.

Delete the following directories:
langMk2
Mk2C
Mk2m
V_2

IMPORTANT: Create the image, use the procedure related by KiwiJochen on the following thread:
http://www.xoutpost.com/246230-post14.html

Now load the v22 modified previously. You could see the update progress in your screen. Wait the eject of disc, remove it a press right knob on screen.

My mk3 doesn't ask for cd-key. Probably the mk3 OS is greater than v17. In your case you should probably try this:

Nav will reboot, now with colour screen.

Cheers.
when you said "we can see the update progress on the screen" on which screen you referred to, mono or colour? Also this update must be done when we have the colour screen or it can be done with the mono screen as well? I did it exactly following your steps and nothing show on my mono screen.. and the power light on my mk3 turned off, only the eject light remained on. Was the upgrade a success and now I only need to install the colour monitor? thanks a lot.
