Performance Center Delivery - Things to Do?

Will be heading down to Spartanburg next month, the Wed before Thanksgiving for PC delivery. For those who've been there, what's there to do in the Spartanburg/Greenville area?

Also, its about an 8 hour drive home to MD, so we're trying to find some interesting places to stop on the way. Any suggestions?

Outside of the BMW plant, there is nothing to see in Spartanburg, I'm afraid.

As far as places to stop on the way... Juan's house. We'll gladly have you over for dinner, if you'd like. We are on the way, about 1.5 hours from Spartanburg. Let me know.

Juan

Biltmore Estate @ Asheville, NC. And definitely Juan's house!

Blue Ridge Parkway if you are headed that way.

Paul,
Wish we were here: you could roll up the Mtn and camp here
on the way...alas, we will have migrated south by then.

Fort St. Juan's mansion is a great stop, (since he already
invited you ).

Biltmore is worth a halfish day, if you have time. One
cannot "do it" in an hour or two.

The BRPkway is kick azz, but probably out of your way
and one cannot make time on that road, regardless of
vehicle. Some links below, for your perusal.
S'Burg/Greenville have absolutely nothing in store for
the tourist, imo.
Congrats on the Delivery.

I got to CT in a little over 10 hrs. there is no way it will take you 8 hrs to get to maryland. Also there really is nothing to do in Spartanburg aoutside of BMW. By the way you are going to love it. I did and from now on I will be picking up all my BMWs from there

When you get there, be sure to get a good night's sleep so you can enjoy all the wonderful things you get to do the next day - be sure to check out some of the threads on factory p/u to make a list of things to do - very easy to get excited over seeing your new vehicle and forgetting everything else
