I guess there was a lack of good subjects for Time magazine to write about this week, so they had to conjure up something where there is nothing. What a dumb article.

I'm sure most people do not care what the color of his skin is, and those who do care are racist and wouldn't vote for him regardless of whether he is 50% black or 100% black.

Are they actually suggesting that blacks will not vote for him because he is not black enough? Like there is such a large selection of candidates who are 100% black. Geeeezzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Often I am truly ashamed at our media.

IMHO, if Obama weren't black he wouldn't even be discussed, he'ld be a non-story and not a candidate.

So let me get this straight. Obama has nothing else to offer than the fact that he's is black?

Fits right in with other comments like "Part of Mr. Obama's attraction and seductiveness -- perhaps the main attraction -- is that he is mostly a blank slate on which others can write what they choose. I'm happy that the moving fingers will begin writing what they believe they think is the truth.

I don't know the man but my admonition to all who would discount the contribution of anyone based soley on the criteria you describe is "dont believe everything you think"

I said it before, Read Obama's Book. Then form your own opinions of him.

You can twist this any which way you like, I am simply saying that he has been a US Senator for 3 years with only 7 years in local government prior to that. The only person less qualified in terms of "years of service" is Mr. Hillary Clinton. His governmental credentials are not sufficient to run the government of the United States. So what else would be attractive about him? IMHO it's that he's a minority. It might not be politically correct to say it, but oh well.

I seem to recall another politician from Illinois who served only a single term in the congress and then ran for president. I don't think he turned out half bad.....
