Since I no longer have a MkIII, and cannot say one way or another whether it will work or not. I do know that the MkIII are much easier to screw up and their ability to recover from a bad OS load is very weak in comparison to a MkIV nav drive.

The language packs that are loaded are controlled by settings in the vehicle. Your dealer should be able to code it to have alternate language packs then what is there today.

Question Change the language MK4

Hi guys, I followed the instructions of the thread renaming the language files and this changed only the voice language, but not the text language. Anyone knows how to change the general text of the navi system?

No, I have an MK4, but it seems that the procedure should work also on MK3. The problem that I have is to change the full language of my system to italian, not only the voice announcements.

change voice procedure on mk3 no like change voice on mk4. If you simply excange voices files, in best way this not running because DIS reinitialisation needed, in bad way mk3 will down

On my system (MK4) the change of the voice worked perfectly. I think that the upgrading of the firmware changes also the general language, since before the upgrading I had the italian, after I installed v26 it changed to GB,F,D!

This thread name is "Change the language mk3 "
Don't fool readers, because Mk3 and Mk4 diffrent navi systems, and have other software. I'm trying change voices many times on mk3. Mk3 working not like mk4. On mk3 you can't channge lang without DIS or sending speciall string in to i-bus. And you can't change voice simply excanging voice files
