Question has anyone else had this problem

I remember theere was a web site that was posted here that if you typed you vin number it gave you the information about your x like what the options were things like that....

why i ask is i need to also find out the production date of my x

All this has to do with a TIS report that i pulled up that matches the exact problem i am having.

the problem is: usually in the morning eve after 10min heat up, i reverse down my drivway and then when i put it in drive the x doesnt realy wanna move for like a couple of secs...it feels like as if you are going over a bump realy slowly u knw liek its putting a lot of effort to move forward then it engages forwar as if it just went of the bump and is on its way.....and this isnt a new problem its been happening since day one realy...but since i got it I have been unable to recreat it becuase by the time i get to the dealer the car is warmed up quite fine.....im am going to scan the printed TIS report and if anyone who is knows more about his can confirm that the above matches the tis report symptoms.....which calls for a new tranny btw....thank you!

ps...this is a great consern to me becuase i have about 3000 miles left on warranty lol so i need to get to the bottom of this issuse before warranty runs out.....

I think this may be helpful.

Clutch delay valve and delay in starting from dead stop.
The X5 has a clutch delay valve whose purpose is to make the clutch feel smoother and to protect against damage during some types of agressive driver clutch use. Some people like to remove it or disable it and claim that the result feels more BMW-like. This should affect every X5 and thus seemingly isn't worth checking for on new vehicles before buying them, except one person reported annoying delayed launching from dead stops on his vehicle that he did not detect on the vehicle he test drove. Several people thought it was just the clutch delay valve in action. See thread:

I copied from http://ksl.stanford.edu/people/kpfle..._problems.html

yea i heard about that but the only difference i have is that it only happens to me after a lengthy parking period...not the dead stop and go....well, i took it to the dealer my sa is a great guy so i showed him the TIS reports i had and he looked at them and said ok well well run some test to see what the problem might be...and i got it back the same day right befor they closed..well after parking it from 7pm to 9:30 am i drove it and there was no more lagggg yeaaaaaaahahahah....well he told me that the test showed that the clutch1 had some low pressure and that does explain it but nontheless i am going to keep testing to make sure this doesnt happen agian . and here is my service sheat
