Talking I was doing 80 when I slammed on the brakes

Well, I broke my 20+ year streak. Got pulled over tonight for the first time since 1984 (unless a marriage proposal from a state trooper counts). I'm on my way home, I KNOW where they hide. Dropped down to 60 coming around the bend and there he was on the shoulder. Waited till I was out of his sight and kicked her. Holy shit, I see another. I'm already doing 80. Nail the brakes, pass him doing about 60. He must have been shooting backwards. I see him start to roll and I know he wanted me. Hoping he doesn't but I know better. Woop woops behind me. Always un-nerving. I pull over, hands on the steering wheel until he can see what I'm doing. I tell him my pocketbook is on the floor behind me, reach back, grab it. Bla bla bla.

Insurance and reggie are in the glove box. Can't get the reggie out of the plastic holder. Been in there so long in the heat, it's stuck. Now I'm freaking. Tell him I'm sorry sir, it's stuck, doesn't come out often. I will give him my license in the mean time. All my balls disappear. I have a wallet FULL of get out of jail free cards and badges (both my brother in-laws are on the job and a friend is a chief of police) and always have my pre-planned schpiel (sp) should this occur. . My balls and my voice leave me. Hearts a pounding.

I now can't get my license out because of all the PBA cards and business cards from the boys in blue, which are strategically placed above my license. I need a paper bag to breath into. I sense he is getting impatient, which rattles me more. Finally I'm able to get my license out of my wallet and my reggie out of the plastic, which it is sooo stuck to, the print is actually coming off on the plastic. I lose the power of speech, my balls and charm are no where to be found.

He walks back to his car and I'm sweating. Kicking myself because I blew the opportunity to talk my way out. He surprises me and is back in a flash. Says to me, so, you want to tell me your story now, or am I going to get a call tomorrow morning about the 4 point ticket your about to get. Asks me if I know how fast I was going. I say, I passed the first officer doing 60. He says, well, you must have accelerated pretty quick, we clocked you doing 75 in a 50

So I tell him, brother in laws on the job, friend is chief etc. He asks why I didn't say anything. I told him, the last time I was pulled over in 1984 - the officer had commodations upto his ear and yelled at me for trying to talk my way out. I was nervous, don't do this often. He tells me that he is a nice guy and I shouldn't be nervous..... slow down. If he sees me again, we will not be having this conversation.

To the nice officer that had a heart. THANK YOU! Whew...

Whew....close one....see my thread about street racing above....

Anyhow, glad you only got a warning. Now, take it easy so you'll be at West Fest IV in one piece.

Josh has his 11-99 CHP foundation license plate, you have your PBA, etc. & I have my business card.

I don't drive stupid Charles. Traffic was light, this damn X begs to be driven hard, never saw a speed trap there before. Always just the one car on the shoulder around the blind curve. I can't let him see me again. He WAS a cutie though. Too bad I lost my balls

I had a blonde femal trooper pull me over when I was 17 driving my 1967 Mustang...she was HOT and I made the mistake of opening my door, to which she responded with pulling her 40cal Glock out of its holster (yikes). After that, she complimented me on the ride
