World Junior Hockey Championships have started
US lost 2-1 to Germany (?) in the first game, in OT. Canada plays Sweden in an hour. Check to see how the Canadian team defends two successive world junior titles, 12 straight wins, and 150 minutes of playing without a goal against, especially after they lost the pre-tournament exhibition game to Sweden.

That's some great hockey. I think it's only really available on PPV here in The States. In the meantime I've been very depressed by our Canucks. The horror, the horror....

Canada over Sweden 2-0. They relaxed in the third when they shouldn't have, but held on to the lead. I find this tournament much better to watch than the NHL, and it is even better with the larger European ice surface.
Agree with the Canucks comment, Kevin. Watching the juniors play could bring your spirits back, though. You can see them webcast on the link above, if US stations aren't carrying the series.
