2008 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SC Low Prices and Lease Payments 1-888-861-8080

Huge swing in prices, probably due to options and mileage, but the big reason is probably because RR SC's are rated at 12/18 MPG. They're friggin pigs.

Trying to switch out a RR SC 08 low miles and showroom condition, and the first dealer I went to went WAY below reasonable in his offer for trade in value. I am not expecting the world, but need a FAIR price.

Another thing that I have noticed lately, at least in the west Tampa Bay area, is that the Porsche dealership has only 10 new cars in Inventory across Cayman,911, Cayenne versions total. The BMW side of the dealership only has a smattering of 535s/528s, a few 3 series, 1-2 X5s, no X6, 3 7s, and 1-2 ones, 1 m6, no m3/m5, 2 z4, and that's it.

I cannot accept the offer, so I am going elsewhere unless they can give me a fair trade in allowance.

Anybody else notice any similar expereiences lately? Any issues will little to no inventory elsewhere?
I know this isn't a classified post, but could you PM or post some pictures? My father has an Escalade lease up within the next month and may be interested in purchasing a range rover if the numbers are right. Thanks!

PS: I noticed the low inventory too, I've been to most of the dealers in my area and all seem to have little inventory. It seems their keeping it low so people like me don't come in to try and do 'em a favor and "move one off the lot." it seems they're leaving less room for us to bargain, but obviously car sales are down and no one wants to be stuck with the inventory.

Quick story, after hearing about Audi's "Summer of Audi" event (0 due at signing, low payments for nice cars/month), I went to the dealer to look at the Audi Q5. The promotion I read was for $0 due at signing $589/month, they had only one on the lot and the sales manager said "i dont know where you heard about those numbers, but i really don't need to make a deal on this car here, it will sell for full MSRP before the end of next week, if you put $4k down, plus fees, then maybe you'll get this payment to the mid 5's, why dont you take a look at this A4, its more within your budget."

Nonetheless, i was very insulted and walked out. I got a similar story from Lexus. I'm not sure whats going on, it's supposed to be a very good time to buy.

For what its worth, Carmax offered me about 5% more on my E90 than the big BMW dealer in Charlotte did for a first shot, ACV offer. (With 5K more miles)

Granted they knew damn well in Charlotte I would have dinged them for every last cent on the new car if I traded it, and Carmax was straight cash.

I drove by my dealer yesterday and his lot in front is usually full had only around 15 or so cars.

I have had better experience selling through cars.com or autotrader. Even after the savings on tax with trade-in it made sense to sell myself. It does not hurt to put an ad on above sites, you never know.

I agree that it "COULD" take more time. But what's the harm
in going thru the process? The market may be different where you are
and true the economy is different these days but you can never tell who
may have the coins and the desire to buy your ride.

Of all the cars I have ever sold none of them ever took 6
months to sell. More like 6 weeks. Especially if the ride
is in great shape like yours.

At any rate I wish you well........

funny how the 'convenience' of just taking it to the dealer 'costs' money. if you don't want to wait 6 months just drop the price and get rid of it. it will naturally drop its price in 6 months anyway...
