Some pics from Bimmerfest 2005

Literally 100's of BMWs here.....Everything from Classic BMWs to "Pimp My BMWs" here......Lots of vendors, Yokohama with their new ADVAN tires. Brembo, Evosport, B&M, Dinan, Turner motorsports, Umnitza (x5Monkey's favorite), Pelican Parts, etc. Bill Auberlin was there to talk and got a great poster with his sig on it. I'm sure you can read all about it on BF forum.

BTW, I met up with Jon Shafer again! Again, a classy guy.

He says "HI!" to everyone here.

Anyhow, as always, he wanted me to tell you guys that you are always welcome at Bimmerfest and don't let a few rowdy guys keep the X5 guys away. He commented that our X5 group was one of the more entertaining group and was sorry that many of us left. Nevertheless, as Jeff and Kevin know, Jon is a great guy and I applaud him for this HUGELY successful Bimmerfest.

Anyhow, lot's of people and lot's BMW, but only 1 really pimped up X5 this year. Oh well, there is always next year.

Okay, finally a X5-related picture!

X5 4.4i with AFE intake. The hood forms the "top" of the airbox. It has solid plastic heat shield. Looks similar to the Dinan air-intake. There is one available for the 3.0i.

Also, this 4.4i has 20" HRE wheels (same front/rear size tires as the 4.6/4.8 is)
