BMW does not put the seat heaters (elements) in the seats w/o the cold weather package. There are several aftermarket companies that provide the elements as well as BMW. To retrofit the truck is quite a job as both the seats, and the center console must be disassembled to facilitate the change. Not for the faint of heart or the average do-it-yourselfer. Easiest thing to do is to find a pair of seats from a salvage yard and then all you have to do is bolt in the new seats and run the wires and install the control panel on the center console. Maybe easier to just move into another vehicle. Good Luck!

There is a company that sells a heated pad which comes with all the necessary wiring, relay and a nice flush mount 2 position switch. The heated pad installs under the seat's fabric. Very easy to do with cloth seats, as they simply remove the stitching along one side and slide the pad underneath and restaple or crimp the fabric back under the seat. Now leather seats may or may not be as easy to do.
 You can always use the factory switches to give it that OEM look!

I have used the Homedics seat massager which comes with heat, in the past when I did not have heated seats in car. Its is a much cheaper solution and also gives massage.
