First MOD..less than 24hrs of ownership :)

Took the X down and had the resonator cut out and the Xpipe installed.

Kicka$$ mod for little cash. Magnaflo premade XPipe just like I had on the 4.4.

Here are the comparison videos

X5 4.6 with X-Pipe

Dude! Sounds great, congrats. Have you noticed any change in low end torque? Any rattles when cold?

Nope. Peppy as ever and a bit more responsive at highway speed. It was 35 degrees here today so it was not bitterly cold.

Nope. The Butt Dyno (highly calibrated) says no real change. But it sure sounds MUCH better.

anyone know what a 2004 4.4i sounds like with no resonator? Near as throaty as the 4.8is?

That's great the mod worked out for you Tim. I tried that, though not with the Xpipe, and was not happy with the loss of midrange (plus got some really weird tinny rattle sound). Maybe that Xpipe is the key.

Sounds awesome and thanks for posting!
