X5 Rear Camera

Since the X5 does not have a keyhole, we will be integrating the camera into the tailgate taillight.

We should have pricing by tonight on the taillight/camera. The viewangle is taken from this placement of the camera.

Sorry guys - I am not a fan of drilling into the roundel to mount a camera.

That's so COOL!!!

and few questions,

1. it says "With our optional Slot Load DVD Player, you can also view DVD movies on your stock NAV screen.",
is it possible to use ice>Link Plus with it or I need to remove ice>Link Plus and add other connector such as BMW ipod or something else?

2. does it have stock steering wheel control system as like ice>Link Plus?

3. lastly, when and how much would it be??

Thank you!!

Thanks!

This is totally independent of the ice>Link Plus. The video is taken from the A/V headphone jack at the top of the iPod. It will have to be removed from the ice>Link or BMW iPod kit in order to be used.

No steering wheel control, all control (iPod side) is control from the iPod. The DVD player comes with its own remote.

Pricing is in the original post, the Video Source Module is $425 alone, the DVD player is an additional $175 and comes with a bracket to mount in the cargo area for factory-like integration and all needed parts (including TV antenna).

Hi Tom,

WOW!!! This is AWESOME!!!!

I have a couple of questions:
1) Is this module compatible with NAVTV and an already existing backup cam?
2) To use my Ipod for audio only (and view song IDs on NAV screen) do I still need Icelink Plus?
3) What is need if I want to keep my rear CD changer and use IceLink Plus?

Thanks in Advance

1) Yes.
2) Yes - the AUX port what's included with the Kit will get audio only into the BMW.
3) You need to see our other post: http://www.xoutpost.com/vendor-forum/...link-plus.html
