that looks as though it is the socket for the rechargable torch. E53 I'm assuming.

Yeah it's the socket for the flashlight.
Not for ipod.

Smile I am grieved...
...because Russian BMW dealers dont like an American BMW. Its BIG problem... Мay be you know any suppliers or inet-shops which can send а Aux cable for IPod to other country? And not so expensive $$$$$ : )

Excuse for a delay with the answer. Has not received the notice by e-mail. In documents of the car it is told, that there is a preparation for a input cable. What does it mean? The interface is available?
