Exclamation 2003 Headlight mod.

Ok so I've looking at doing the headlight mod to all clear look, and wanting to delete the orange corner. But as you all know, it's told that, 2003 X5 headlights are almost impossible to open, and I dont know anyone who has had luck opening a set of 2003 headlights. So I decided to try something else and would like your opinions? I haven't replaced the blinker/indicator bulbs with clear/silver ones just yet, but I think the look is quite nice! Also it was a rush job, just to get an idea first. But take a look.

Looks interesting - is that just titanium paint?

Hi, No its just a titanium vinal/sticker that I stenceled out to roughly the same shape as the orange corner. I think now if I replace the orange bulds with clear look ones it would look even cleaner! Again another simple mod, totally reversable in seconds and no damage to anything. I went with titanium to match up with the front grill and hood grills on my 4.6 but, I'm also looking into a reflective style vinal which would be similar to the orange corner, but silver in color.

Good solution to your problem. Beats ruining a good set of HL's with the Dremel.

Thanks zulu! I even tested it for safety and you can still see the blinker working fine through the vinyl/sticker
