Extended Maint/OOP Price Changes?

Happened to be on the phone with my Service Advisor, and he mentioned big price changes effective next week for the Extended Maintenance and the Extended Warranty packages for the X5. The Maintenance package is going from $1195 to $1695, I think he said (sorry, I wasn't taking notes).

Has anyone else heard similar, or seen the documentation?

Not too much of a price hike IMO.

Remember that each dealer can set his own price for at least the extended maint.

My local dealer here in SoCal quoted me a price that was over $700 more than the dealer I ended up purchasing it from who was in Minnesota (sorry but don't remember what city or dealer's name).

I assume that it's the samesituation w/ the extened warranty.

Quick update on warranty price change...

BMW/Mini of South Atlanta will honor current warranty pricing until 6:00pm EST on June 16th 2007.
For X5's, the current price on their website is $1,245. If you use 'fest' as a coupon (from bimmerfest) you get an extra $50 off when you checkout.
The price next week will be $1,645.

(no affiliation..just trying to pass on some $$$avings if you are thinking about getting a warranty.)

Just for the heck of it I just called two local dealers. Herb Chambers and Foreign Motors West. They both informed me that the new prices were already in effect for extended maintenance - HC quoted $2,195, and FMW quoted $1,995.

Funny thing is I asked Herb Chambers what their best price was "Sir, there is no mark-up or room for negotiation - that is the price direct from BMW"...

What a pack of wankers as usual over there at Herbies
