Many thanks !

With a production date of 05/2003 I have no chance of spliting my lamps clusters and I really want to loose all of the orange and clear them out.
This is currently my best option

Thanks again...

David

The auto leveling, what plugs into that? If i had halogens before, and I've now got xenons, and wanted auto levening - is this possible?

it's possible if you do retrofit it. Put sensors underneath your car for rears and fronts, and run the wires and a relay maybe, but im not sure how hard it is. Mine came with it so its plug and play.

hmmm.. what do you mean sensors for rears and fronts? this would be a good DIY retrofit write up.. I'd be willing to tackle it if it was worth it.. what does the auto leveller do?

When you start the engine and turn on your headlights, it moves up and down for a second or 2 to the right position parallel to the ground. Primary, it applies when you have heavy cargos in the trunk and instead of the ights pointing a bit up (since the load is heavy), it will autolevel straight and you wont blind the car in front of you.

yah - i can see when that might be worth it - might just be worth it to complete the retrofit.

question though, should i flash my LKM? As he said he did on his - i had halogen, and i get the "check lowbeams" message... could this be why i'm getting the check msg?

wait, you upgraded to xenons from halogens? Have you checked this DIY? http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/l...on-bmw-x5.html

Didnt read the entire DIY, and not sure how it works on X, but when i did it on my E46, i just had the LCM reflashed so the car will recognize the xenon by using MODz equipment.
