Re-Coding Car with BMW Scanner

Latest BMW Scanner results

I recently purchased a copy of BMW Scanner 1.4.0 from the original author for US$ 1280. The package comes with a USB to OBD-II connector and the software. It is simply fantastic, so much improved over the 1.3.6 version. Please be assured I personally have nothing to do with this product, I am simply a user who is suitably impressed and felt it worth sharing my experience.

For everyone who wishes to (re-)code their car this is the answer for example:

(1) Re-code all the lighting system, Xenon to Non-Xenon etc, no more relays, resistor packs etc etc. Re-code the bulb warm up sequence (value 72 for Xenon and 22 for Halos)

(2) Re-code the key memory functions

(3) Re-code navigation systems and TV on the move (no more kits)

and many more....

It is particularly good for replacement modules, pick these up secondhand and re-program and re-code and off you go.

Here are some screen shots from my car, I turned off key memory, dynamic Xenon adjustments and a few other things along the way, you can read the config, save it, alter it and of course restore the old settings, this software can do things that the dealer can't.

If anyone lives in The Netherlands and wishes to have some re-coding done please contact me.

Here is the URL for the web site: http://www.bmw-scanner.com/?lang=eng

I simply ordered it through the web.

Replies to above questions!

You are all welcome to come by! But it is a long way! and no it is not Carsoft 6.5, I had a copy of this and it is useless by comparison, slow, no re-coding, etc. The new BMW scanner version is really good, all the error codes are correct etc etc,

Geoff.

I am afraid it would not help if I sent it you as it needs a completely new USB interface with encryption chip when compared to 1.36. If you open the program without it being connected you get nowhere, regards, Geoff.
