scratches on my steering wheel

guys,
how to fix the scratches on my steering wheel! they are increasing and the white color becoming more... the wheel looks dull now

short of swapping out the steering wheel all I could think of is paint of some sort. However, I would just swap out the wheel, its a fairly easy DIY and you will be much happier with the result I would think as at least the sport wheel has some sort of rubberized finish on it.

Agreed, just replace the wheel.

I am sure just the "soft touch" trim can be replaced. The dealer replaced mine due to a scratch. It was just the black plastic part not the entire wheel.

Anyway, I'm not a bunch of help. I have no part #'s

Is it on the trim pieces? You can replace those.

Well, look up your car on realoem.com and see what the part numbers are, for example....

Part# 2 on the depiction linked to above is what I usually change for customers, and can easily be a DIY job. If you want to, you can also remove it and remove the paint with a mild solvent safe for the plastic and paint it any color you want. I had one customer with a body kitted X5 that had his paint matched to the body along with the woodgrains... kinda looked bad though.
