If you're driving and you push "START/STOP ENGINE", will the engine shut off??

If you push the start/stop button while driving... will the engine shut off? just curious.

likewise.... if you push the side button on the gear shift and push up... will it throw it into reverse or is it smart enough to not do that?

i know the parking brake works if you pull it while driving, but it won't lock, it just uses it to slow you down a bit....

The transmission shifter will only slide into Neutral, but never in reverse. I've actually TRIED that during test drive, to make sure passenger can not accidentally cause this.

I did not try to push the ON/OFF button; my guesstimate that it will do nothing to the engine (it may throw some warning indicator/tone, at the most).

Don't know about the shifter, but I was bored one day and hit the Starter button while driving at 15 mph or so, and the engine shut off. Works the same as if you were to turn the motor off with a standard key while driving.

I have Comfort Access and therefore no key was in slot. The steering wheel did not lock up. The car jerked to a stop, though. Just pushed the On/Off switch again and it started back up.
