Nice!

I think it looks slick without the running boards.

I think all 70's look better without the rbs.

Exclamation

Hi all

I have put over 2500KM on my new X and I am gradually making use of all its power.

To start, She is a superior motor in every way to my facelift 04 E53 3.0d Sport. Visually the E70 is a great improvement over the E53. Its only when you have them side-by-side that you notice finer quality of the E70, especially the rear of the vehicle. With the 21’’ rims and run flat tyres the ride is actually better than my old E53 which was on 19’s. I have yet to experience this “crashing” over speed bumps, which my E53 was prone to! Through the corners it feels as she is on rails with less body roll. The Adaptive drive and rear air suspension probably helps a great deal here. The gear shifting has been greatly improved. I have used kick-down once and the transmission does not jump/jerk like the E53. There is virtually no lag either.

The comfort seats are really worth their price and the rear seats have been greatly improved over the E53’s as I had many comments about how “choppy” it was to sit in the back. I find the iDrive no problem to use and the 2 programmable buttons on the steering wheel is handy. The M steering wheel feels great and I have only come to realise that the 8 radio buttons are touch sensitive. The daylight running lights make the E70 look class and the LED lights on the under side of the door handles look nice at night. The larger boot space is a plus although I do intend to get a spare tyre as I am still not convinced with these run flats.

I averaged 10.2L / 100km (~28mpg [imperial]). I am going to reset it and compare “pre Vs post” break in consumption figures.

Kind Regards
Enda

Your car is stunning. Now I want to keep mine dirty all the time so it looks black.
