Are you getting the PWM signal at the fan from the computer?

More importantly, what year/model X5 are you asking about?

If the compressor is not engaging how are you able to read the high side pressure line? If you are using one of those fill me up with freon and hope that the ac system work in a can to check the pressure, you do not have it connected to the high side of the ac system. Those cans can only connect to the low side of the system. The compressor needs to be running in order to get an accurate measurement of the refrigerant pressure. Sounds like you don't know what you are doing. My advice will be to take it into an AC shop.

Sorry guys is a 2004 4.4i v8 with no fan in front just one electric inside the engine bay. ..
Yes it is power to the fan
One question I replace the fan with another one used from ebay and nothing is there a way to test fan maybe it something else .....but it I think it should turn on as soon as you run the ac correct..?
What if the coil on the compressor is not working ...would that make the fan not working also...?
Thanks guys

^I believe your fan should run when the vehicle gets up to a certain temp independent of the AC system if you want to let the X idle and watch for the fan to turn on.

As for the AC system line pressures would definitely assist in a diagnosis. If the coil on your compressor goes the clutch will not engage and the compressor will need to be replaced. Unless the coil and clutch can be serviced but I don't think I've seen that done.

You might have gotten a bad fan from ebay, you should test it.

Have not mentioned what troubleshooting you have done thus far such as checking fuses. know just enough to send you on the wrong path.
