Airbag module replacement

Due to an fault error on the MRS module that couldn't be cleared I had to replace the module.

The module, unfortunately is located right underneath the rear blower in the central console. Not a fun job but doable. There is already a good DIY in this forum on how to remove the central console but with no pictures.

Here are some pics:

At some point a little mouse might have had his winter house in here.

Getting closer. Here is the rear blower motor:

You can see the airbag module underneath.

The blower is hold in place by two screws, one in each side.

Blower is out. The module is cover by this metal place:

This is the module:

That's the error I wasn't able to clear.

Cheers,

Bummer. I have a friend who's seat sensor died and in his case $450 to the dealer. I would have bought the $10 faker (tells the computer somebody is always sitting in the seat) trade off is no low-power airbag so no kids in the front seat and you'd have to leave passenger seat buckled or get the belt warning. Fair trade off to save $440. I don't think this module does the same job unfortunately
