Headliner

Does anyone know how to take the headliner out without damaging anything, or do i have to take it to the stealers...
i have noticed water on the driver side due to the heavy rain we been getting and it seems like its comin down from the top, down to the front corner by the windshield all way to the floor... ugghh i hate stupid lil things like this on BMW( frozen door handles in the winter, roof drain, etc)

Weasel will become famous soon enough
You likely don't need to remove the whole headliner, just pull down the corner with the leak to check that the drain is still hooked up. All you would need to do is remove the grab handle, visor and pull down out of the door seals enough to see in there with a flashlight. If you need extra pull down room, just remove the front center lighting console and the t-10 screws around the sunroof opening.

(there are decent writeups with pics somewhere on this site)

Here's a link to an earlier thread from when I was new to the site and was helping someone with a leak.
