Check control messages - STOP!ENGINE OILPRESS and CHECK ENGINE OIL LEV

Started X this morning and the following messages were displayed

STOP!ENGINE OILPRESS and CHECK ENGINE OIL LEV

I immediately switch the engine off in case there wasnt enough oil. I checked oil level and all seemed fine. I then re-started engine and no messages displayed.

Could this have just been a temp error. I did an oil change about 3 days ago too

Thanks in advance

I do daily oil checks and would have noticed a leak i think as there would have been oil left where X was parked.

enquire to the dealer as to why that happens .
some bmw have issues with the oil pressure relief valve , not sure if it happens on diesel engine .
not sure if it can be a problem .
don`t worry about it .

If it were a problem with the pressure relief valve , or anything else , the stop engine light would come on and stay on .

Weasel will become famous soon enough
It could be a problem with oil pressure relief valve, but would more likely be a funky resistance signal from the oil pressure sensor.
