X5 owner that just got an X3. I am impressed

Spent my first weekend with the 2007 X3 CPO after retiring the 2001 X5. I have owned over 10 BMW's and the X3 seems to be a bit under rated in my opinion. The N52 engine has a lot of pull and it handles like a dream. The ancient Nav system could use an update but overall this will be a welcome newcomer to my stable.

I share your thoughts. Traded my X5 on a 535, and at the same time we purchased a new 2007 X3 3.0si for my wife. I really enjoy it, and she loves it. It doesn't have the same luxury features as the X5, being based on the E46, but apart from the dual zone climate control I don't miss any of that. It handles great, is agile, is fun with the 6 speed manual, and is consistently underrated by many posters here IMO.

Congratulations on the new ride.

I am considering this deal right now! An 2003 E53 of an 2007 E83, CPO. Anything else I would miss? Dual climate was awesome as was built in solar shades, however upgrades for me now are bluetooth, Pano-roof, rear heated seats.

Is it common for the acceleration to stutter when turning left or right and up a hill? Is that the 2007 3.0sI engine? the Servotronic?
