It has been really cold (10-20F) the past few days. REally it is the firstb weather we have had that is actually below freezing. The first cold day I noticed my feet were cold and the heater was stuck on defrost. After driving about 20min I got to my destination and shut the car off and restarted it and now problem. Problem is it keeps doing it but after 20 min of driving it flips over.
Real oem shows 6 actuators (
RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog) defrost, recirculation, ventilation, foot room, rear room, and ram pressure. I don't really know which one it would be. What is odd is that the thing hasnt failed it just seems to be freezing up. I don't understand why it would take 20 min to thaw with all that heat pouring by it though. I am going to run a test tonight and park it in the semi-heated garage over night and see if that helps.
In the mean time any thoughts would be greatly appreciated and I cannot find a diy to get to this thing. I have a feeling it is going to suck.
It is hard to explain how obnoxious it is to have your head blasted with heat while your feet shiver but I have got to get this fixed!!
