I think by just replacing your resonator with 50 series flowmaster it won't be louder as with replacing with the X-pipe or straight pipe because the stock muffler is very sound damping..

That's why the stock mufflers are out too. My exhaust is just pipe, cats, and the Flowmaster.

oh ok.. So its like a truck or SUV set up.. After the flowmaster its just pipes and tips?

WOW!
From inside, barely hear anything at idle. When you step on though.....nice deep, even tone. I'd say it's a bit quieter than just the straight pipes.
Camera 1 is out on loan until the weekend
Camera 2 is dead and I can't find the charger.
So, I'll have to wait until the weekend to post pics and sound clips. It'll probably sound better anyway once everything gets broken in a bit.

really? wait did you take off the original mufflers and replace it with pipes and tips.. I thought that would make it sound much louder with out the mufflers there anymore.

Not much louder at all, but sounds better, the raspiness that was there under acceleration and revving is gone. Just a nice deep rumble.
My exhaust is: from engine to cats, to muffler, out the back......

Muffler: Flowmaster 50 series dual inlet/outlet (524554). Info on Summit Racing website NOTE on the mufflers, the OEM ones are HEAVY!
Tips: Magnaflow (35167) Info on Magnaflows website

Parts and install put me right around $500. I'll get pics and sound clips up as soon as I can.

oh wait ok so, you have 2 pipes from the engin to the cats the to a single muffler that has dual inputs and outs to tips right, i have a 3.0 and i know its not the same as a v8 but but for 500 bucks for a nice exhast system is not bad at all!!!
