Tranny Failure...help

Well...somethings up with my tranny. Trans. Failsafe Prog popped up.
Was driving back from roadtrip...everything was fine on the highway....then got off the highway (stop go traffic) and noticed tranny acted abit weird, when i come to a full stop, it kinda jerks...did it a few times....then we got back onto the highway driving normal without any issues and then heard a funny sound and the Trans Failsafe Prog. came on and i think this is the limp mode. Its dragging and when i drive off the stoplight, feels like its in 3rd gear.

Any ideas?

Damn dealer is closed tomorrow, so i'm gonna take it in on Tuesday...but wanna check with yall first....is it still safe to drive around in this 'limp' mode?

I have the Peake tool...but not sure where can i plug it in the car to pull codes?

thanks
Franklin

Try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes and then reconnecting it. It's possible that a simple reset will clear things. If not then it's off to the dealer.

yup picked it up less than 2 weeks ago.
I'm sure CPO will cover the tranny...but i have a call in to the dealer i bought it from about my NAV, and i'm gonna bring this up...good gosh i hope the problems stop here...

otherwise, it was a BLAST driving on the highway...

tried unhooking the battery....no luck.

pulled codes...
with ignition on #2 = all clear
with key off = got code E10
looking it up now

i looked under the hood, engine oil level is fine. Saw some blue fluid (coolant spots around the coolant reservoir and back abit)
will wait till it cools off to check coolant level.

But now as soon as i start the car the Trans Failsafe Prog light is on instantly.

guess its the dealer now...

yes....raining for 2 days straight....what does it have to do with it?

figured out i didnt pull the code right (hence E10) will do it again tomorrow)

checked coolant level....seems fine (not sure why there's coolant spots around) but no smell of coolant. Could hear the bubbling sound when i first stopped and popped the hood

Supersteve could be right on. Why do not you check that the electronic control box did not get wet. It is worth checking
