Nice, but isn't it sticking a bit too high?

I think it's just the angle of the camera shot - they don't seem to look like they're too high when I'm sitting in the car....

Got 'em from Vince (Mr. Paddleshift). He mounted them to the wheel w/the electronics and I tied them in pretty much the same way others (like Suresh) did with their SMG paddle wheels. New switchring and wiring harness...

I had Vincent at Mr. Paddleshift install the paddles on the M-Sport wheel that I bought from Macon BMW about a year ago, along w/the internal electronics. He also supplied a new switch that mounts inside the steering column, a wiring harness, and very good instructions for installation (although the pics could have been a bit better). Vincent gave me a very good deal and I'm very happy with the result, but it's a fairly expensive mod to begin with. There are quite a few options available for paddle shifters and some on the board here have simply bought the wheel, switch, and made their own wiring harness (Suresh is a good example). You can get more info on your options from Vincent at MrPaddleShift.com...

Was this an easy mod. What is the part number for the wheel? I assume you used the airbag from your old wheel?Looks great

Easy being a relative term, I would rate this mode at medium/easy. Of course, I didn't mount the paddles to the wheel - I just installed the wheel, switch, and wiring harness. Took my about 2 hours total taking my time. The most difficult parts are separating the top & bottom portions of the steering column (getting them back together was almost as difficult) and pulling the HVAC controls out of the dash board. Once everything was apart, routing the wires was fairly easy.

Here's the info on the wheel itself from RealOEM. Macon BMW ordered it for me from Germany as it's not a US wheel and I was able to use my sport airbag that came with the vehicle.
