Stupid Ford Commercial

Unless I missed it I'm surprised no one has commented on that lame Ford Edge Commercial stating to beat the new 3.0 X5. The claim is only .02 seconds. Any comments out there?

It is a close race.

It will probably beat the 00-03 X5s.
They ran 16.2 for the 3.0

Not sure how fast the newer ones got.

The Edge runs around 16.0

Are you serious? And all along I've been driving an X5 that is 0.02 seconds slower to 60 than a Ford Edge? I've gotta get to a Ford dealership!

I hate that commercial. There are worse though, like the new Hyundai commercials that compare their cars to Range Rovers and an E60 525i. Oh brother!

Don't cry because you 50K car is slower then the Ford....by 2 tenths of a second. You should have bought the V8.

J/K...but really, I've never understood this type of post. It has been here before about the same commercial. There is so much more to the X5 then just a 0-60 time. You could tell me the Hyundai Santa Fe was as fast as my 4.4 and it wouldn't make me blink an eye. I would hope peeps weren't 'so' worried about the other guy and simply did what made them happy. I seriously doubt that the Edge will sell more units simply because of that commercial, but ya never know.

Well, which car would you rather be in if you had to avoid an accident? Or, even worse, be in one? I know I am lucky to own an X5, and avoid looking down on people in lesser cars.
