Question Fixed door handle, now lock is inop..

Need some help on this one.
Driver's door handle/carrier on my '01 broke, rendering the outside handle useless. I ordered a new carrier assembly (the part of the door handle on the inside of the door) and installed it, hanlde now works again. I put the door back together, and now the power lock actuator on that door is dead! I pulled the panel back off to ensure I didn't leave any wires unhooked, but everything is hooked up.
The driver's door lock still operates with the key, but the remote or the central locking button doesn't do it, all the other doors will lock/unlock.
That was yesterday. Now today, I get in and the window switches on the driver's door don't work! I know they worked after the handle install. The switch for the driver's window works, but the other three don't. And the driver's mirror will move, but not the passenger mirror, and the window lockout switch isn't working, the little green light on the button comes on, but the other three windows will still roll down with their door mounted window switches.

so I'm completely mystified. I'm going to go pull the door panel off again and look, but this seems a little odd. Everything worked before I replaced the door handle!

Anybody have any ideas?

Faulty Electrics

Mate

With any car electrics that commence mulfunctioning the first place to look is a bad earth path to the negative battery terminal.

Hope you resolve the problem.

Thanks for the help everyone, but I have found the problem!

It was a loose connector. There are three connectors on the back of the window switch module in the door panel. When I first had the problem, I unplugged and replugged all the connectors several times, but apparently the X wanted me to steam over the problem for a couple days, because I pulled the door panel off again and redid all the connectors, pushing them in really hard before locking down the locking tabs, and what do ya know? everything works perfectly.

So moral of the story is even if the connector seems to be in and tight, it might not be. So door handle carrier is replaced and all the windows and locks are working as they were before.

wees1234, you might want to pull your door panel off and recheck all your connectors.
