i tried that.

there are "deactivate" and "change" selections under the code entry. neither will work, or let me into them. pretty nervous as my nav unit did not come with the car, thus, no code paperwork.

If 0000 does not work as Philip suggested,

1. disconnect the battery for 1 minute
2. reconnect the battery, alarm will be blasting for about 45 sec
3. turn key to the second position
4. a 15 minute count down should be activated in display
5. at the end of the 15 min. count down, you should be able to start the X

There may be more detailed instructions in the owners manual.

Yes, I recall reading information about this procedure in the NAV manual. What you just mentioned seems similar. Do non-nav vehicles come with the code feature?

so i followed your instructions, and an "emerg. deact." countdown showed up in the display, along with the code blanks. the countdown has always been frozen at 9.59. do i need to try all zero's again before the code will start to countdown? did your countdown move?
key is in position 2 and i'm just going to leave it for awhile.
