Axxis pads and Nokian snow tire review.
But so far no dust! Holly cow. Also put on the 18’s with Nokian snow tires during the brake job. This is my first BMW but my fourth set of Nokian snows. I am coming from an Audi background and I do a lot of winter driving. Got to see my first snow last weekend and both the tires and X5 did a fine job. The grip of the Nokian Hak SUV’s are great. The ABS only came on with extreme braking and it was very controlled. On the way home from the weekend of fun in the snow we hit boat loads of rain. The Nokians were impressive handling large amounts of water with no hydroplaning and great grip. I cannot recommend these tires enough. ![]() ![]() ![]() As part of my winterizing I like to use a nose bra even though I have a clear bra on. It helps keep the gravel from traveling up the hood! Compulsive

Glad you are happy with the pads and tires. Your X looks great sitting in the snow.

Those Nokians have aggressive looking tread! How's the noise and treadwear?
About the nose bra, we get a lot of melt/freeze cycles here so I avoid using them. Otherwise I'd be removing and installing them a couple times a week to let them dry out. I find the 3M clear bra does a good job of protecting against gravel. It's the windshield that could use extra protection.
