Coming from an owner of a Dynavin unit, I would say it can be hit or miss. It has some quirks, BUT I love it.

I say go for a Dynavin. Android works with Bluetooth, wifi, etc. It is nice to be able to watch youtube videos in the countryside, or even purchasing an OBDII bluetooth adapter and reading codes straight from the stereo using TORQUE.

You gotta love being able to read emissions readyness and codes straight from the stereo like so:

Take a look at the dice mediabridge. It will give you the updated features you are looking for using your existing radio and controls.

I have the Dynavin D99 (WinCE) version in my wife's X5. Replaced the widescreen nav with it. In short, was a beastie to install, took me about 6 weeks of weekend work to get all the issues sorted out. But have to say it now works quite well, and my wife loves it.

Issues were alternator whine and intermittent drops in sound to one or more of the speakers. Simple fixes, but a hell of a diagnosis exercise to track down where the fixes were needed.

All due to poor component selection from Dynavin.
