Air Conditioning...THE SOLUTION!!!!!

For all us us with poor airflow on the side vents...I have discovered the problem. I have searched the manual, asked the dealer and played with every menu and finally today as the sweat was dripping from my face I discovered what the dealer couldnt.

The first photo shows the temp inside my car today.

The second photo shows how my idrive was setup. Inside Climate- "AUTOMATIC PROGRAMS" there are three settings:
SOFT
MEDIUM
INTENSIVE
Next to these settings is a scale that an be adjusted up/down, it was set at the maximum. I even tried adjusting this higher and lower and it didnt really affect the airflow. I have played with this adjustment a dozen times. Except today, I accidentally went past the zero setting and noticed the gauge turned blue....WOW....EUREKA!!! I HIT THE MOTHER LOAD!!!!!!!!!!

So now look at the third image...I set this scale at the highest blue setting and now I have air flow on the side vents. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I still dont really understand what it all means, I guess the red settings are for the heater...anyone understand the logic here??

Doesn't red denote HEAT? You might have been using the heater with the original settings....

Thats whats confusing...that would mean I would need to readjust this "auto" setting everytime I go from ac to heat...that would be bs.

IDrive, (the driver crazy) ...

How did we ever get along for 50 years having to
push/move a button or switch for HVAC in our cars? ...

I seriously wonder.........what was wrong with the old way (buttons)? My AC works fine simply because I don't have to fine tune it. When I want cold, it gives cold. When I want warm, it gives warm. Why does it have to be "mildly cold, slightly cold, or very cold"?
