scratched

No idea when this could've happened... had to have been when it was parked but it's always in my driveway and there's only a handful of times where it's been at street parking.

The bottom mark is through the paint and I see black. The rest is simply scratched brownish. How can something like this be minimized/repaired?

Sorry to see that , looks like someone scraped something against the front. Probably in a parking lot. Hate when people don't care about other people's property. Someone gave me a door ding on my 3 series and even though it is not noticeable for others I can still notice it. Not much you can do to avoid these, though I do try to park as far away as possible, but I find people chasing me and parking right next to my car :|

You might ask at the dealer if they have someone who touches up their used cars. Some of these people are pretty good at small repairs...

Sorry to hear about that...

Good luck,

Craig

Do you use a carwash? I have seen similar marks in my sister's A4 caused by her carwash. They had agreed to pay for the repairs. Sorry to hear about the damage. Good luck.

He said it's down to the primer, so I don't think Scratch X is going to do much good...

Sorry to hear about it,... sadley I believe most damage done to cars of these caliber are mostly by unaware nitwits that could carless about there car aswell

..the scrape looks like it shredded the surface where it touched, not sure there is anything that can be done besided having it sanded down and repaired

if the dark marks are not the actual part (plastic) you could get ride of the other paint, use wax to remove any paint/color that was not originally there

then again, I can't really tell from the picture but if its just a scough from something plastic or rubber, thats definately removable by just waxing it out

good luck

since I have it around, would a liquid clay bar make it any worse? I'll check out the other stuff after.

I can feel the very top and bottom scratches with my fingernail but the middle scratches seem very shallow.

surprisingly it's not that visible if you stand just 3ft away.
