I have a Motorola V710, which works very well with my X5's built-in Bluetooth. My question is how can I disconnect the BT while on a call. In my prior car (MB), I had a wired connection. When I was on a call, and wanted to walk away while talking, I could open the phone, and disconnect the wires. Also, if I was on a call and wanted to convert to talking only via the handset (instead of the speakerphone), I could open the phone while staying wired.
Yesterday, I was on a call when I pulled into my garage. I couldn't figure out how to shift over to the handset. Even when I turned the ignition off, the conversation continued via BT. I opened the handset to talk, but no go. I understand the BT protocol is essentially telling the phone that the car is a headset, but how can you make it turn loose?
